Your Perfect Retreat
Sandhills Holiday Park
FEW COASTAL HOLIDAY RESORTS can match Sandhills, sitting neatly at the point where picturesque Christchurch Harbour meets the Mudeford seafront. It is a truly magical location.
SANDHILLS HOLIDAY PARK has over recent years made the transition to become one of the more tranquil parks of its type.
We like the fact that SEABREEZE is situated near the front of the site, so you get glimpses of the sea, yet far enough away so you enjoy total privacy. It also enjoys a sunny aspect away from the many large overhanging trees.
SANDHILLS has a large HEATED OUTDOOR POOL and separate CHILDREN'S pool open between APRIL and SEPTEMBER with LIFEGUARD supervision.
The PARK has invested in a large SUNDECK with stylish POOLSIDE FURNITURE to create a relaxing atmosphere.
The BAR and CLUBHOUSE benefit from satellite TV and free WI-FI, with occasional entertainment. Having said this the Park doesn't seek to rival its considerably larger neighbours - its more about a quiet drink than karaoke!
All the CARAVANS and LODGES are PRIVATELY OWNED and the site is maintained to a good standard for the more DISCERNING VISITORS.
Elsewhere, the park has a well-equipped CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND, small GYM and LAUNDERETTE.
Now substantially converted into flats, the SANDHILLS CLUBHOUSE has its own historical interest. It was once the holiday home of SIR GEORGE ROSE MP, who was a close friend and advisor to prime minister WILLIAM PITT.
Sir George's other great friend was KING GEORGE III who stayed there on a number of occasions in the early 1800s and in doing so made CHRISTCHURCH a fashionable tourist destination.
DURING the 1940s and 50s Sandhills was used as a SCHOOL.
